Have your last haircut 8-10 weeks prior to the wedding. If needed we will trim around the face on the day, so no need to stress about having those face framing pieces cut perfectly in advance. Use treatments in the weeks leading up to the wedding if needed, but make sure to switch to a normal conditioner a week prior to the wedding day. Having had a fresh treatment might cause hair to be too smooth to hold heat styling and/or an up-style.
For any style, the cleaner the hair the better! If you have time, wash your hair the morning of and let dry naturally or gently blast dry. If you are time poor, a wash and air dry/blast dry the night before will do just fine.
When washing hair, make sure to thoroughly shampoo and rinse your hair twice, condition only the very ends and rinse. Once washed, part your hair where you’d like to wear it for the wedding and do not use any product.
We recommend booking in for a blow wave with your stylist prior to up-styling, especially if you have wavy/curly hair. This will ensure a longer lasting, frizz free style, and will help me to perfect your look. In this case, we would recommend washing prior to arrival, as above.
